Jennifer attended DesertHigh School at Edwards Air Force Base where she
played varsity volleyball as a setter/middle blocker for four years.As a four
year varsity player she led her teams to three CIF playoffs, one semi finals
in CIF and one quarter finalist California State Championship.Jennifer was
Co-MVP for four years, a 1st Team All League Member for three years,
Bakersfield Californian (Kern County) All Area Honorable Mention for three
years, Antelope Valley Press Athlete of the week for two years, Antelope Valley
Press All Area Team for two years, Palmdale All Tournament Team for two
years, Desert High School Athlete of the Month two years in a row, and CIF
Southern Section 2nd Team Honors for two years.Club experience: two years
with Antelope Valley Volleyball Club and two years with KRVC.Jennifer was
offered a four year volleyball scholarship from Dave Rubio (currently the head
coach at University of Arizona) to play at California State University Bakersfield
as a setter. Three of the four seasons with the Roadrunners found Jennifer and
her teams at the Elite Eight for Division II and two of the three earned the
Roadrunners Runner up Finishes.Jennifer graduated from CSUB with a BS in
Child Development.
Jennifer has been coaching since she was 21 years old.One year as the
assistant women’s volleyball coach at CSUB with John Price, one year as the
assistant women’s volleyball coach at BakersfieldCollege with Carl Ferreira,
six years as the junior varsity coach at StockdaleHigh School, and 13 years
with Kern River in various capacities; coach (9 yrs.) and Club Director (9 yrs.). As a KRVC coach, Jennifer has coached a 16 Gold team to a 2nd place finish
at the Festival (1995), a 16 Gold team to an 11th place finish (2001), a 14
Gold team to an 8th place finish (2002) and a 14 Elite team to a 9th place
finish (2007).
Jennifer has been a Case Manager with the Child Guidance Clinic for 9 years
and she will be coaching the KRVC 14 Elite team this 2008 season.
