16 Elite Coach

Ali attended Centennial High School where she was a part of back to back 
State Championships in Divisions I & II and where she was awarded to the 
All Area Team both her junior and senior years.  She also played for Kern 
River for 7 years where she was awarded the Anderson Award her senior 
year for her exceptional volleyball skills and her  unique love and dedication 
for the game.   While with KRVC she was also fortunate enough to be a part 
of two 18 & under teams that made it to the Semi-Finals at the Volleyball Festival.  Her junior year they took 2nd and then her senior year they

WON THE FESTIVAL!!! (1997)  Ali stated, “Winning State twice in High 
school and winning the Festival have been my greatest accomplishments 
with volleyball.”  

Ali then went on to play volleyball on scholarship at the University of 
Houston
. She completed one year in Houston and then returned home to 
play at California State university of Bakersfield for three years.  Ali 
graduated from CSUB with a BS in Criminal Justice. 

This is Ali’s second season coaching for Kern River.  She has 
previously coached at Centennial High School as the junior varsity coach 
for three years, and one year as the 8th grade coach for Freedom 
Middle School
.  Ali is currently employed with the Housing Authority as 
a Case Manager and she will be the 16 Elite Coach for KRVC this
2008 season!!
